There is a lot of talk about how much you should risk per trade. It’s very important part of every strategy so you should build own rules. Old school traders and big investors claim 2-3% is higher risk percentage in their trades. But what is going on with traders who have small accounts?
When I start with trading my average account was $2000 – $5000. Risking 2-3% per trade is not allow you to make any money. Right? Of course! I’m going to be honest with you, in that period I was risk 5-20% per trade, so what. If you have small account risking 10% average is only way to make some money. If you are beginner who own micro account (up to $500) I sagest you to risk up to 20% per trade, only if you are confident about trade. That is only way to learn how to trade. Don’t expect to make million with your micro account, micro accounts can help you to learn how to trade and nothing more.
If you can’t make some pips on demo account don’t trade for real.
